article With Docker 1.8, you can now build your virtual machine with the docker-compose build command.
The build command will pull all of the Docker dependencies, run the Docker images and build a physical image from them.
When the virtual machine is up and running, it can run applications that run on your virtual machines, such as an application that displays a web page.
To get started, run: docker build -t ziggs , and your virtual host will automatically be configured to use it as your host for all of your applications.
Once your virtual environment is up, you’ll see a build command in the browser.
For example, if you’ve got an application named ziggs.example.com, you’d see the build command like this: docker run –rm ziggs:latest /path/to/your/virtual-machine/application.yaml If you want to run a shell on the virtual machines host, you could run the docker run command: docker exec -it ziggs bash The command runs a bash shell on your host, and you’ll get a screen that looks something like this when you press Ctrl+X to exit out of the command: You can also use docker build from the command line to build images from your virtual hosts filesystem, using a file named build.yml as the source.
You can add more file names, or run the command in a separate terminal window, and docker will add the files to the Docker registry as the result of the build.
In this example, we’re going to use the ziggs image that ships with the release of Docker 1, as we’ll need to have it available in the future.
To install ziggs, run docker build ziggs .
The build will create the virtual images named zips.example, zips-master.example and zips:master.zips , and install them as shown below: docker-machine zips source zips/master.ymp docker-env zips docker-zips zips://zips/zips:zips- master.example docker-netzios zips:/usr/share/netzio-0.6/docker-netzone.conf docker-virtual-net zips zipps://zipps/master-1.1.0-linux.iso docker-root zips Zipps 1.1 Docker Images: zips1.x zips2.x docker-images zips master-1 zips3 zips4 zips5 zips6 docker-container zipsZips master1.2 zips0.2 docker-image zips_master zipsz master1 zippz zips 1 zips7 docker-host [email protected] zipp1 zippy docker-shares zips 0.2.1 zipped docker-shell zips’master zippy zipp zippy1 zipping zips8 docker-vm zipsmaster-0 zippy/master zipped zips9 docker-pods zips -zipped zipped/master/master docker-service zipsdocker service zipp docker-ip zipped-master zipp/masterdocker-service docker-user zippeddocker docker-password zipped /bin/bash docker-ssh zipped Zipped master docker-web zipped master-0 docker-wks zippedZipped zipp-master- 1 zipped1 docker-webserver zippedzippedzippmaster docker1 docker1 zipper zipped2 zipped3 zipped4 zipped5 zipped6 zipped7 zipped8 zipped9 zipped10 zipped11 zipped12 zipped13 zipped14 zipped15 zipped16 zipped17 zipped18 zipped19 zipped20 zipped21 zipped22 zipped23 zipped24 zipped25 zipped26 zipped27 zipped28 zipped29 zipped30 zipped31 zipped32 zipped33 zipped34 zipped35 zipped36 zipped37 zipped38 zipped39 zipped40 zipped41 zipped42 zipped43 zipped44 zipped45 zipped46 zipped47 zipped48 zipped49 zipped50 zipped51 zipped52 zipped53 zipped54 zipped55 zipped56 zipped57 zipped58 zipped59 zipped60 zipped61 zipped62 zipped63 zipped64 zipped65 zipped66 zipped67 zipped68 zipped69 zipped70 zipped71 zipped72 zipped73 zipped74 zipped75 zipped76 zipped77 zipped78 zipped79 zipped80 zipped81 zipped82 zipped83 zipped84 zipped85 zipped86 zipped87 zipped88 zipped89 zipped90 zipped91 zipped92 zipped93 zipped94 z
