CreditBuilder Inc. says it’s eliminating a building inspector who was based in Florida for more than a decade and who helped lead its credit bureaus.
The credit-rating firm says the person, who is no longer with the firm, was a “part-time employee” during that time.
He worked in building inspections for the firm and did “all of the tasks associated with the building inspections and audits,” the company said in a statement.
It says he left in October and was notified of his termination in late November.
CreditBuilder didn’t say how many jobs he was responsible for.
CreditBuilder’s parent company, Equifax Inc., also said Tuesday that its chief executive officer was leaving for the same reason, citing a “personal situation.”
It said in its statement that the person has been with Equifax for almost 16 years and “was responsible for many projects in the credit bureau industry.”
CreditBuilder said the person’s departure was unrelated to the company’s quarterly results.
