President Donald Trump tweeted Saturday that he would not be “in prison for the rest of my life.”
Trump, who has repeatedly said he loves President Donald J. Trump, is under federal investigation over allegations of sexual misconduct.
His campaign issued a statement Saturday saying the president has “not been accused of a crime, and he denies the allegations.”
“The President of the United States of America has always denied any sexual misconduct,” the statement said.
“There is no merit to any of the allegations.
I have asked the Department of Justice to look into this matter immediately and to hold accountable those responsible for these actions.”
Trump’s statement came a day after he released a video statement saying that the allegations are “completely false.”
“In no way have I ever sexually harassed anyone, ever,” he said in the video.
“I have never done anything to anyone that would be considered sexual harassment.
I am the least corrupt person ever to occupy the Oval Office.”
